BIO  AMANDA BOLTON    doesn’t look like a farm girl. It’s when she tells you about the harvest season and growing crops that you really do a double-take. She’s unassuming, down-to-earth, and is one of those rare best bets the music industry comes across in their search for a future chart-topping rock vocalist and musician.

She takes the stage with the charisma and vigor of a seasoned vet and delivers upfront, powerful one-of-a-kind vocals. Audiences are captivated by this powerhouse from the north and why shouldn’t they be? Her songs are infectious, her choruses immortal, her sound undeniable and her style unforgettable—she’s not just another pretty, overly euphemized pop/rock princess; she’s an actual musician, songwriter and lyricist with an eclipsing vocal talent.

Amanda’s talent has created a buzz in the industry which has caught the attention of several top insiders. Says one: "Amanda brings a fresh new energy and enthusiasm to the stage with a strong musical and physical presence that reaches out to her audience. She connects with each audience member as if they were her personal guest. You come away from her performance with the feeling that Amanda's strong musical style and reach is, and will be, for her audiences and the entertainment industry, a great new artist."

Amanda’s passion for music and performance began at an early age. She began modeling at the age of four and several years later began singing. She gave her first performance on June 28th, 1995 singing “Can You Feel The Love Tonight”, from the Lion King. By the age of eight Amanda was playing piano and singing in both her school and church choirs. Amanda knew she wanted a career in music when she was 12 years old. She bought a bass and honed her skills by performing wherever she could for whoever would listen while continuing her education through correspondence. She began landing lead roles in area musicals including a coveted role in the musical Oliver which was produced by Margo Surman, Drama Director for the University of Western Ontario. Her remarkable energy didn’t stop there. Amanda also attended the Jo-Susan Modeling and Finishing School in Nashville, TN., and completed the "Personal Improvement & Modeling" course, graduating in July, 2000 with private instruction from Susan Carpenter, the school’s founder and director.

She has an impressive performance roster: Before going solo, Amanda was one of the youngest participants ever to showcase at Toronto’s Canadian Music Week. She gave over 60 live performances before May 2002, has appeared on the "Mother's Day Telethon" and "Easter Seal Telethon" to help raise money for charity, and performed in support of United Way charities. "There are cameras all around you and the excitement of it all just gives me such an adrenalin rush like nothing else, besides performing on stage!” Amanda enthuses. She has also toured the east coast with the likes of The Moffatt's and McMaster & James and had the honour of opening for ECMA Nominee Melanie Doane, CIMA Nominee Amy Sky, Rubber, and Moist.

After working with award-winning songwriters and producers from Canada and the United States, Amanda has developed her own unique style that sets her apart from anything currently found by flipping the dial. Her warm personality comes through in her music and resonates with every listener. Her songs transcend age, sex, and are uncontainable by any demographic boundary. From the farm to the stage, Amanda is the real deal!
